Join Think Active’s Sport Welfare Forum for clubs and groups across Coventry Solihull and Warwickshire. This free session provides sports clubs and organisations delivering physical activity with an introduction into online safety topics. It explores best practices for managing social media and online communication, reducing risks such as cyberbullying or online grooming, and how to creative safe, inclusive online spaces.

Delivered by Neurodiverse Sport, this free online session for sports clubs and groups in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire provides a practical introduction to neurodiversity in sport. The session will help you build a greater understanding of neurodiversity, explore how to create a more neuroinclusive environment, and boost confidence in supporting individual needs.

In this session, find out how Think Active’s Sport Welfare funding support can help your club or group strengthen safeguarding and welfare. This session will cover what funding is available, the eligibility criteria, how to apply, and what happens after you submit your application.

Sport England has committed £16m through its Movement Fund to support initiatives that improve sustainability and physical activity opportunities for people and communities who need it most.

Delivered by Our Streets Now, this free online session explores the impact of sexual harassment in sport as a barrier to participation, safety and wellbeing.

Through discussion, real-world examples and practical guidance, you will learn how to recognise, challenge and respond to harassment, as well as gaining the tools to help foster safer spaces for your participants.

Mind’s Safe and Effective Practice workshop explores practical ways to promote positive mental health and wellbeing, create inclusive spaces, and support participants who may be struggling. You’ll gain useful knowledge and practical tools to help build a culture where people feel safe, supported and able to take part.

Provider: UK Coaching

Cost: Free

UK Coaching is the leading charitable organisation in the UK for sport and physical activity coaches. This online course provides guidance on how to support people experiencing mental health problems and empower positive development. Developed in partnership with Mind, the course is available on demand and lasts approximately 2-3 hours.

Want to learn more about climate change and what you can do to help the environment? Think Active is working in partnership with Solihull Council to deliver this fun and interactive Climate Fresk workshop for local clubs and groups delivering sport and physical activity, giving you the chance to meet other clubs in Solihull and discuss how you can get involved.

Ann Craft Trust

As the leading authority in safeguarding adults and young people at risk, the Ann Craft Trust run several training opportunities to help upskill people involved in delivering sport and physical activity in order to achieve best practice.

Buddle

The Sport England Buddle website provides free learning and support resources to help clubs and community organisations offering sport and physical activity. The site also offers access to training and development opportunities to help improve and develop skills, knowledge and confidence.

NSPCC Sport

Funded by Sport England, NSPCC Sport (formerly the Child Protection in Sport Unit) has a resource library providing webinars, toolkits and information about policies and best practice, as well as training opportunities.
