Living with a health condition means how you feel can change from day to day. Listen to your body and do what feels comfortable. Finding something that you enjoy means you’re more likely to keep doing it. Looking for inspiration for activities that are right for you and your health condition? There are lots of opportunities to take part in across Solihull, from specialist exercise programmes with additional support to free activities available in local parks.


Specialist exercise programmes

Being physically active is great for your health and wellbeing, and when done regularly will benefit you physically and mentally. It is also a great opportunity to have fun. Physical activity can help prevent and manage more than 20 health conditions and diseases, including coronary heart disease, some cancers, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders, mild/moderate depression and obesity.

Conditions can be improved/managed by physical activity, for example;

  • Cancer rehab exercise.
  • MS and Parkinson’s specialist classes.
  • Cardiac rehab exercise.
  • Better breathers exercise.
