Active Warwickshire
The first meeting of Active Warwickshire took place on 11 October 2022 at which a range of multi sectoral partners discussed the current position of sport and physical activity in Warwickshire. The group are currently working through the priorities and next steps for Active Warwickshire. Longer term we aspire for Active Warwickshire to enable us to collaborate on new and innovative approaches in which sport/physical activity can be used to address our collective local priorities in Warwickshire, share resources and attract new investment.
As referenced by Dr Shade Agboola at the workshop, the benefits of being active outweigh the risks. Physical activity is safe, even for people living with symptoms from multiple medical conditions.
We appreciate times are challenging and next steps may differ from one organisation to the next. We hope that everyone can consider how sport and physical activity can add value and have a positive impact across your work – a little is good but more is better!
